Dr. Susan O'Connell

 

BA, B.Dent.Sc (Hons), MFDS RCSEd, MSc (Orthodontics), M.Orth RCSEng

 

Dr. Susan O’Connell graduated from Trinity College Dublin Dental School in 2011 with an Honours degree, a B.A. and numerous awards including the Costello medal for dental research. 

She moved to London and worked in a busy private practice by Regents Park. During this time, she undertook further training at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute and subsequently held positions at Guys Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital gaining valuable experience in children’s dentistry, restorative and oral and maxillofacial surgery. She was awarded Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), the BAOS oral surgery prize and the NHS leadership academy award for her work.

She went on to secure a coveted position on the National orthodontic training programme in the U.K. She completed her specialist orthodontic training, working with leading consultants in the field and was awarded a Masters in Orthodontic Research and Membership in Orthodontics from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons England, allowing her to register as a Specialist Orthodontist.

Dr. Susan O’Connell has presented regularly at national and international meetings, and is committed to continuing her education to ensure her treatment is in line with current scientific knowledge and technology.
